Are you ready to deepen your connection with the land and learn practical skills for creating resilient, regenerative systems? Join us for a hands-on 22-hour Introduction to Permaculture Intensive at the beautiful Uhuru Community in Rice, Washington.
Over the course of this immersive weekend, participants will explore the core principles of permaculture through a combination of classroom learning, hands-on projects, site design exercises, and collaborative activities. Topics include healthy soil, water systems, native plants, and ecological design, along with a guided native herb walk. Whether you're just beginning your permaculture journey or looking to strengthen your existing knowledge, you'll gain practical tools and inspiration to apply at home and in your community.
The workshop also emphasizes community building, with shared organic meals, connection, and opportunities to learn alongside others who are passionate about living in harmony with the Earth. Each participant will receive a packet of resources to help guide their next steps after the workshop.
The intensive runs Friday, July 24 at 4:00 p.m. through Sunday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Uhuru (2332A Scott Rd., Rice, WA).
The suggested donation for the workshop is $220, with a minimum registration fee of $25. Thanks to scholarships and work-trade opportunities, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Registration includes locally sourced organic potluck and community-made meals, as well as free tent and RV camping (no hookups). For those seeking additional comfort, glamping accommodations in a cabin or yurt are available for an additional fee.
