Local Permaculture Consultants (PDC) and Workers

In our area we have quite a few people who have completed the Permaculture Design Certificate Course (PDC) and many practitioners who have experience in permaculture and gardening.  This is a list of those (known) resources who are able to help you design, plan or maintain your own personal urban/suburban sites.

Permaculture Property Checklist

Next in the Geoff Lawton Video Series

Hi,

Geoff here again.

My brand new free video "Permaculture Property Checklist" is now LIVE and ready for you to view:

http://www.geofflawton.com

It tackles secrets to design - in all climates - that are extremely beneficial, for people who already own land and for people looking to buy.  And - this is something I've never released before - I'm including a 12 page pdf, "Permaculture Designer" that reviews all the key points, and includes a detailed checklist.  Just download that from my home page.

(You should be taken straight to the next video, but you *might* not be, if that's the case just enter the email you signed up with - the one I'm emailing you on now - in the form and click "Get Instant Access" and you will be able to login right away. If you have any problems please let us know via live chat.)

Warm Regards,

Geoff

Perennial Paradise

What If We Change video with Geoff Lawton

All around the world people are asking what they can do to help to heal the earth. The permaculture movement is showing what individuals can do to bring health and happiness into their lives and at the same time restore the Earth’s natural ecosystem function. In “Perennial Paradise” Geoff Lawton shows some of the many simple but practical work being used and taught at the Permaculture Research Institute’s Zaytuna Farm in Australia.

“What if we Change” is very happy that through this collaboration with the Permaculture Research Institute we can share this film on the website and in the broadcast series in Africa, China, the U.S.A. and beyond.

Permaculture at the City Planning Level

Transforming Urban Environments for a Peak Oil Future - A Vision Plan for the City of San Buenaventura, CA

Wow!  This is the best example of a city wide vision of transforming it's entire city to a more sustainable Post-Peak Oil Future.  The report and appendixes are nearly 300 pages with many pictures and diagrams that show the transformation of a city to a Permamaculture Community.  This not only demonstrates that cities and local governments recognize the problems approaching us but are also putting the effort forward to solve (or mitigate) them.

Inspiring...  I wish it was Spokane...  maybe it will reach the planners in our town...  soon.

Barrels & Bites for Spokane Public Market

Help me build a basket!

Author: Torie Foote
The main fundraiser for the Spokane Public Market is coming up and needs auction items. Does anyone want to help me build a Permaculture basket? This is a good way to spread the word and help them raise needed funds.
